About Kristi
Kristi is a Master of Clinical Social Work intern from The College of St. Scholastica with a deep passion for integrative and holistic approaches to healing. Prior to beginning her path in social work, she spent twenty-four years as a massage therapist, developing a profound understanding of how the body holds stories, stress, and resilience. This embodied background informs her belief that healing is most effective when the mind, body, and spirit are all welcomed into the therapeutic process. She is also a Level One Reiki practitioner, further supporting her integrative and somatically informed approach to care.
Kristi finds inspiration and grounding in the natural world and has a keen eye for noticing the quiet details of plants, along with an appreciation for their names and qualities. She enjoys reading and engages regularly in mindfulness practices, yoga, and views lifelong learning and personal growth as essential components of both her personal and professional journey.
In her clinical work, Kristi is dedicated to creating a welcoming, gentle, and supportive environment in which individuals feel safe to explore their emotional experiences, cultivate self-compassion, and engage in meaningful introspection. She has experience working with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) from a previous internship and is especially drawn to Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Relational Cultural Therapy (RCT). These modalities align with her belief that healing occurs through connection, self-discovery, and honoring the many parts of the self, all through a lens of curiosity and non-judgment.
Kristi has completed an EMDRIA-approved EMDR intensive training and integrates trauma-informed principles into her clinical work. She is committed to helping individuals uncover their inner strengths, build resilience, and develop deeper self-understanding, while fostering strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, empathy, and authentic presence. She brings both clinical training and a creative, soulful perspective to her practice, inviting clients into a healing process that is both grounded and expansive.
