About Howard

Howard is a Master of Clinical Social Work intern from The College of St. Scholastica with a professional background in public safety. His decades of service as a firefighter have informed his commitment to resilience, service, and lifelong learning, values that now guide his path into clinical practice. He brings a steady, grounded presence to the therapy room, shaped by both his training and his lived experience supporting individuals in high-stress and crisis situations.

Howard works with adolescents, young adults, adults, and first responders. His clinical interests include trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. He draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relational Cultural Therapy (RCT), and Solution-Focused approaches, emphasizing collaboration and curiosity in helping clients explore their strengths and cultivate meaningful change. He views therapy as a process of both support and growth, where individuals can build resilience and develop healthier connections with themselves and others.

Outside of his clinical work, Howard finds grounding in music, cooking, sailing, and being outdoors. These practices reflect his belief that balance and creativity are essential to both personal well-being and professional practice.
